What is the Halloween Mystery Market?

The Halloween Mystery Market is a family-friendly market event held at the birthplace park of Sesshu in Soja City. It will take place on Halloween, October 31, 2026 (Saturday).

In addition to food and drinks that children will love, workshops, and the sale of miscellaneous goods, a total of 23 vendors are expected to participate, offering exciting fortune-telling and assessments for adults.

Since the park will be the venue, you can enjoy shopping and gourmet food at the market, and it is also one of the attractions to spend a relaxing time.

We asked kanana, the organizer of the Halloween Mystery Market, about the motivation for starting the event and its content.

Why did you decide to start this event?

I thought it would be nice to have an event that families can enjoy together, and that was the initial motivation.

Before starting this event, there weren't many family-friendly markets in Soja City, and there were few opportunities for children to enjoy workshops and food together.

I wanted to create a place where both children and adults could have fun, so I started the event.

What kind of efforts are you making to ensure the market is enjoyable for families?

We are preparing shops that not only children can enjoy but also adults can have fun together.

Additionally, we have vendors dress up in costumes and hold mystery-solving projects, allowing everyone to enjoy the unique Halloween atmosphere. I hope everyone can spend a special time that is different from the usual market.

What kind of shops will participate?

There will be food and sweets that children love, as well as experience booths for children, Halloween-exclusive workshops, and photo booths to create memories.

There will also be fortune-telling and relaxation options for adults to take a breather, so please come and enjoy with your family and friends.

Are there any Halloween-specific projects?

There will be a mystery-solving stamp rally.
At the reception, you will receive a stamp rally sheet, and if you collect stamps, you will receive a gift for the first arrivals.

You will receive stamps by solving mysteries at the vendors' tents and shopping. I hope families will challenge themselves to solve mysteries while visiting interesting shops.

The gifts are provided by the vendors, and the contents will be a surprise until you open them. You can enjoy the excitement of wondering what is inside until the moment you open it.

Can I participate in costume?

Please come in costume and have fun.

In past events, many attendees came in costume.
Last year, witches were popular. There were also families who enjoyed matching costumes.

Since the vendors will also be in costume, I would be happy if adults could also dress up without feeling shy and enjoy the Halloween spirit.

However, for hygiene reasons, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing pets.

What kind of people would you like to come?

I would like those who want to go to an event where children can have fun and those who are unsure about where to go on their day off to come.

Since the venue is a park, you can not only enjoy the market but also spend a relaxing day with small children.

Previously, when we held the event at the birthplace park of Sesshu, many people stayed throughout the day. It is also nice to have them spend time leisurely.
