At the agricultural road takeoff and landing site "Kasaoka Fureai Airport" in Kasaoka Bay reclaimed land, "Fly Over KASAOKA" was held on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
The Fly Over KASAOKA of 2021 was filmed from two locations away from Kasaoka Fureai Airport, capturing the aerobatic flight of pilot Muroya Yoshihide.
Welcoming the Fly Over KASAOKA of 2022.
I couldn't suppress my desire to see Muroya's magnificent aerobatic flight up close! With camera in hand, I hurriedly drove to make it in time for the main event "Flight Show" of the "KASAOKA Air Show" starting at 1:30 PM.
The information provided is based on the article published in October 2022. Please note that it may differ from current information.
The 2022 Fly Over KASAOKA has two programs

Muroya's aerobatic flight held in 2021 was filmed from the 4th-floor meeting room of Kasaoka City Central Community Center.
Watching the aerobatic flight with many people, we exclaimed, "Wow! Amazing!" and "Wait, it's hovering in the air!" while enjoying Muroya's skills.
Experiencing this excitement near Kasaoka Station, which is away from Kasaoka Fureai Airport, I hurried through the vast parking lot with space for 1,000 cars, expecting that seeing the aerobatic flight up close would be even more wonderful, and headed to the venue at Kasaoka Fureai Airport.
The Fly Over KASAOKA of 2022 includes the following programs.
- Program 1: "A white line flight of dreams and hopes for the citizens of Kasaoka"
- Program 2: "KASAOKA Air Show"
The white line flight is an event where Muroya's piloted aircraft navigates the skies of Kasaoka City while trailing smoke.
The KASAOKA Air Show is an event where visitors can enjoy display flights, sightseeing flights, and aerobatic flights.
Okayama City Fire Department Helicopter Rescue Demonstration

What I saw just before arriving at the venue was the flight of the Okayama City Fire Department Helicopter.
As I followed the helicopter flying above with my eyes, a rope was dropped from the open door.
Could this be…
Yes, it was a rescue demonstration.

The speed at which the crew boarded the helicopter with the rescued person was incredibly quick, making me feel as if I was witnessing a rescue moment during a disaster.
Food and shopping available at the venue
At the venue, there were merchandise booths from aerobatic pilot Muroya and the Self-Defense Forces, as well as food booths.
Many shops and kitchen cars gathered at the food booths, allowing visitors to enjoy their meals.

Since there was a Self-Defense Forces truck on display, I took a close look at it.

Enjoying the Flight Show
Program 2 Air Show included the following display flights.
- Air Self-Defense Force F2 Fighter
- R/C Airplane
- Motor Glider
- Okayama Prefectural Police Aviation Unit Helicopter
- Okayama City Fire Department Helicopter

And the main event of the "KASAOKA Air Show," the aerobatic flight of pilot Muroya Yoshihide in the Flight Show starts at 1:30 PM.
At the venue, there were many people with large telephoto lenses.
Everyone seemed to be ready, not wanting to miss their shutter chance.
Just after 1:30 PM, the airplane with Muroya on board started to move.
The Flight Show is finally starting.
Muroya's airplane gracefully flying in the air

Leaving a loud engine sound, Muroya's airplane took off and quickly ascended into the sky.

Holding my breath to keep up with the speed of the airplane seen up close, I captured this photo.

Muroya returning to the runway after the aerobatic flight

Muroya's airplane flew low across in front of us, and the Flight Show was coming to an end.

Muroya's airplane returns to the runway.

As the airplane touches down on the runway, it releases white smoke as its final service.
The sound of shutters clicking can be heard all at once.

After finishing his aerobatic flight, Mr. Murowa exited the cockpit and waved to us, the audience, with a smile.
“Thank you, Mr. Murowa! It was truly amazing!”
Watching the aerobatic flight up close was, indeed, a different level of excitement.
Since the commentary style explained each maneuver, it made the greatness and brilliance of the performance even more apparent.
It was truly wonderful to see the world's top-level skills up close, and I waited while soaking in the afterglow for the runway opening time.

After Mr. Murowa's Flight Show, the runway was opened, and it was time to see and photograph various aircraft on display.
Here are photos taken during the runway opening.

Indeed, watching the aerobatic flight up close was simply “amazing.”
