In work and daily life, new encounters are surprisingly few.
Ideally, I want to meet in person and talk while getting to know the other person's atmosphere and personality. However, it takes a bit of courage to attend a matchmaking party alone.

For such people, I would like to recommend the matchmaking event "14th Mizukon Party", which will be held on November 1, 2026 (Sunday) in Mizushima.

The main event in 2026 is a "Curry Party" where all participants can enjoy together.
This event deepens exchanges while enjoying making curry, games, and conversations, and is currently recruiting participants.

To make it easier for those who feel anxious about conversing with strangers, various ideas have been incorporated into the Mizukon Party. I will introduce the day's content and support.

What is the Mizukon Party?

The Mizukon Party is a matchmaking party held in Mizushima as part of Kurashiki City's matchmaking promotion project.

Members of the "Mizushima Promotion Team", who gathered to invigorate the Mizushima area, are at the center of the operation as the executive committee.

In 2026, it will be the 14th event, and various plans have been conducted so that participants can naturally interact through cooking, games, and more.

At the 12th Mizukon Party held in 2023, 20 men and 20 women, a total of 40 people participated. They enjoyed making curry and games while interacting, leading to new connections among participants.

The main event of the 2026 Mizukon Party is a "Curry Party" where participants can enjoy the outdoors in a grassy area.

Participants will be divided into groups and will challenge themselves to make curry together.

Not only does cooking together naturally create conversations, but it also allows you to see aspects of the other person that cannot be understood through conversation alone, such as consideration for those around you.

After tasting the completed curry, participants will move on to games and free time.

I would like people who usually have few new encounters in their daily lives or those who are not good at actively approaching others to feel free to participate.

Of course, I would be happiest if couples were formed here. However, I also want the Mizukon Party to be a "place for challenges."

Through making curry and conversations, I hope participants will enjoy interacting with various people.
Even if they do not become a couple, the most important thing is for them to leave feeling "it was fun to participate."

Is it okay to participate alone or if it's your first matchmaking party?

Most participants come alone. People living outside of Mizushima are also welcome to participate.

On the day of the event, about 20 staff members will support participants, half of whom are women. Please feel free to consult if you have any concerns. At the Mizukon Party, there are "strongly helpful uncles and aunts."

When it is difficult to approach someone you are interested in, the staff will step in to introduce or gently encourage you.

In fact, there are people who have become couples thanks to the staff's support.
I hope participants can join with a mindset of enjoying making curry and conversing with various people without too much pressure.
