As summer ends, various seasonal events continue from autumn to winter.
Among them, when it comes to autumn events, many people might think of Halloween.
In Kurashiki, the Kurashiki Afternoon Tea 2026 Halloween is being held, where you can enjoy and savor Halloween. It’s an event perfect for the appetite of autumn, being fun to see and delicious to eat.
I will introduce the Halloween afternoon tea at MOMOKO TERRACE (Kurashiki Momoko Civic Hall Store), which I covered in my report.
The information provided is from an article published in October 2026. Please note that it may differ from current information.
What is "Kurashiki Afternoon Tea 2026 Halloween"

The "Kurashiki Afternoon Tea 2026 Halloween" is a Halloween limited sweets event being held from October 1, 2026 (Thursday) to November 10, 2026 (Tuesday).
Every year, the Kurashiki Afternoon Tea is held in summer and winter. It is a popular event that many repeat visitors look forward to every year, as it features sweets made with plenty of fruits from Okayama Prefecture.
In 2024, it celebrated its 10th anniversary, and this "Kurashiki Afternoon Tea 2024 Halloween" was planned as a commemorative event.
With the theme being Halloween, each store has put in various efforts to prepare afternoon teas that are enjoyable to look at. Additionally, the opportunity to enjoy autumn fruits such as grapes, pears, persimmons, and figs is also a charm of the Halloween afternoon tea.

Please check the following image for participating stores and reservation methods.

This is the third time the Kurashiki Afternoon Tea 2026 Halloween is being held.
I enjoyed the flavors of autumn at "MOMOKO TERRACE" located in Kurashiki Civic Hall. I will introduce the events of the day.
Afternoon Tea Report at "MOMOKO TERRACE"
MOMOKO TERRACE is located adjacent to Kurashiki Civic Hall. The spacious interior has a calm atmosphere with a white and brown color scheme, making it a comfortable place to spend time.

For the afternoon tea, props were also prepared for photography. Cute Halloween items like pumpkin lanterns and autumn-themed decorations such as autumn leaves and acorns can be borrowed freely.

Playful Halloween Sweets
When the afternoon tea was brought to the table, I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" The colorful sweets and drinks captivated my attention.

On the top tier, there are Hojicha and Purple Sweet Potato Bavarois, White Chocolate Canelé, and Redcurrant Chocolate Cake. These sweets are full of Halloween spirit, decorated with axes and spider webs, and the red and purple accents stand out beautifully.

The Hojicha and Purple Sweet Potato Bavarois has a rich yet light sweetness that makes it easy to eat. The Halloween-themed colors and the chocolate axe are so cute that it felt almost too good to eat.

The chocolate cake with spider webs also has a refined sweetness that makes it easy to eat multiple pieces. The chocolate spider web has a delightful crisp texture.

On the middle tier, there are Tochiotome Strawberry and Blueberry Cake and Duet Sandwich with Two Types of Grapes. The large grapes are juicy and refreshing.

The cake has a smooth texture of jelly and mousse, and the sweet and sour taste of the berries is irresistible. The duet sandwich features a crispy texture of the bread and the popping sensation of the grapes.
On the bottom tier, there were Persimmon and Purple Sweet Potato Chiffon Cake and White Sauce Dip Toast.

The chiffon cake has a good melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfectly complementing the rich sweetness of the fully ripe persimmons. I had the toast later, and even when it cooled down, it remained crispy, pairing excellently with the gratin-like sauce.
Satisfying Savories Using Autumn Fruits
On the black plate are five types of savories.

For the author, who wants to alternate between sweet and savory foods, the abundance of savory options is a delightful point. The time spent pondering "Which one should I eat first?" also passed enjoyably.
The recommended dish by Koizumi Makoto, who kindly agreed to the interview, is the particularly impressive Galette Saucisse.
Galette is a traditional dish from the Brittany region of France, and in French, galette means "a flat, round dish or cake," while saucisse means "sausage." It is a hearty dish that is enjoyed with a knife and fork.

The savory dishes also featured plenty of autumn fruits such as muscat grapes, pears, and figs.
The menu included marinated pears and purple cabbage deli-style, mashed potatoes with muscat grapes and crispy bacon, and fig and cream cheese brûlée, all of which surprised me with their unique combinations of ingredients!

Beetroot soup is smooth and rich in flavor. Its vibrant pink color is eye-catching. I was very satisfied with the colorful savory plate.

Colorful Drinks to Accompany Afternoon Tea
MOMOKO TERRACE also has a rich drink menu.

In addition to the two drinks that can be selected from the above menu, a Mixed Berry Jewelry Sparkling is included, making it feel like a great deal with a total of three drinks to enjoy.

The first drink I chose was a Fresh Kiwi Juice. I was surprised when the glass was brought to me, as it was packed with kiwi flesh. The kiwi is juicy and satisfying to drink.

The second drink I chose was the tea Angel Jasmine. Its fragrance is elegant and makes me feel graceful.

The pot was kept warm with a candle. I was pleased to be able to leisurely enjoy steaming tea.

With a wide variety of drinks, I had a hard time choosing. We had lively conversations, saying, "Next time we come, we want to try this too."
Interview with the Store Staff
I spoke with Koizumi Makoto from Fruit Japan Co., Ltd. about this Halloween afternoon tea.

Please tell us about the menu's focus and highlights.
Koizumi (no honorifics)
Until now, we have often provided cute afternoon teas, but this time we aimed for an "afternoon tea that adults can enjoy" for Halloween.
With a base of black and purple, accented with red, the chic and elegant colors are a highlight. The decorations, featuring ghosts and spider webs, add a playful touch to the afternoon tea experience.
There is a store of Kurashiki Momoko in the Bikan Historical Area, but what unique experiences does MOMOKO TERRACE offer?
Koizumi
While the store in the Bikan Historical Area is lively, at "MOMOKO TERRACE," which is a bit away from the Bikan Historical Area, you can enjoy a leisurely tea time in a calm atmosphere, which is a major attraction.
We also accommodate private room use and reservations for large groups, so you can enjoy gatherings like girls' parties or tea parties without hesitation.
Additionally, we offer a "Petite Afternoon Tea" that can be ordered without a reservation. This feature allows for casual drop-ins, which is a unique aspect of our store.
Finally, please give a message to the readers.
Koizumi
This afternoon tea makes full use of autumn flavors, so it is designed to be enjoyable for everyone from children to adults. The weather is becoming milder, making it a great season for outings, so I would be delighted if you could come and experience this special afternoon tea available only at this time of year.

From the Writer
Not only was it delicious, but the Halloween sweets were also visually enjoyable, filling both my stomach and heart. I was also happy to be able to taste a variety of autumn fruits all at once.
The author became so engrossed in taking photos that it was a pleasant surprise that the afternoon tea at MOMOKO TERRACE did not have sweets that melted like ice cream, allowing for a calm meal after the photography.
The Kurashiki Afternoon Tea 2026 Halloween, which can only be enjoyed during the autumn season. I hope many people can enjoy a delicious Halloween.
