At the popular annual event "Kurashiki Afternoon Tea" in Kurashiki City, the 2025 winter afternoon tea featuring strawberries from Kurashiki and Okayama will be held from January 15 to March 31, 2025.
At each store, drinks are provided as "2 cups included or free refills or served in a pot," allowing you to enjoy a graceful time and delicious tea time.
With so many attractive shops, it can be hard to decide where to go, but this time the author experienced afternoon tea at "MOMOKO TERRACE (Kurashiki Momoko Kurashiki Civic Hall Branch)", famous for its sweets made with seasonal fruits.
What is "Kurashiki Afternoon Tea"?
"Kurashiki Afternoon Tea" is a sweets event held only twice a year (in summer and winter).
The event, which started in the summer of 2015, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year (2025).
The 2025 winter event, which is the 22nd edition, will have 28 participating stores.
Strawberry Afternoon Tea for Love-struck Maidens
"Kurashiki Momoko" has 5 stores around the Bikan Historical Area.
The 2025 winter Kurashiki Afternoon Tea is only available at "MOMOKO TERRACE (Kurashiki Momoko Kurashiki Civic Hall Branch)".
The store located on the first floor of the Kurashiki Civic Hall is about a 20-minute walk from JR Kurashiki Station on the JR Sanyo Line.
If you are driving, there is a municipal parking lot within the premises of the Kurashiki Civic Hall, which is convenient and close (100 yen for every 30 minutes).
If you use the afternoon tea service, you will receive a service ticket for 30 minutes of free parking.
The interior of the store is spacious and has a warm atmosphere.
This time, the author was guided to a sofa seat.
On the walls, there are photos of the meals that have been served in the "Kurashiki Afternoon Tea," including this time, which heightened the anticipation until the dishes were served.

Since it was a cold day, the two of us had a hot flavored latte in caramel and hot orange lemonade.
The hot orange lemonade had orange pulp and a refreshing sourness.
Since the second cup could also be taken out, we opted for takeout.
Heart-throbbing, cute sweets and light meals
Here is the menu for the day.
It was 4,620 yen (including tax) for one person with 2 drinks included.
First, let me introduce the sweets and light meal menu.
The strawberry comparison (2 types) was served on a cute white carriage.
Being able to enjoy the cute tableware is a unique charm of the Kurashiki Afternoon Tea limited menu.
Next, it was served on a large round stand typical of afternoon tea.
The stand was filled with the following menu items.
- Mini parfait with strawberries and chocolate
- Strawberry pie
- Strawberry basil pasta
- Roast beef and mashed potatoes
- Omelet with strawberries and komatsuna
- Strawberry salad
- Mini hamburger with strawberries
Indulging in strawberries, all the savory menu items also featured strawberries.
The bite-sized "roast beef and mashed potatoes" had a perfect combination of the sweetness of the mashed potatoes and the tender, juicy roast beef. The serving plate was also pink and had a cute flower shape.
Next, a palette-like plate was brought out with a strawberry princess cake, strawberry crème brûlée, brownie, and raspberry macaron.
The princess cake, dressed in strawberry cream, was adorned with a glass slipper and a heart-shaped tiara. Even as adults, this plate is filled with "cuteness" that tickles the maiden's heart.
The strawberry cream was smooth and light, with a gentle sweetness that spread throughout the mouth.
Finally, there was hot chocolate fondue.
There were 6 types: strawberries, bananas, cream puffs, muscat grapes, marshmallows, and oranges.
I was able to enjoy myself while pondering which one to start with... and which one to choose next.

I enjoyed the time taking photos with my favorite items alongside the cute sweets.
