Additionally, the "School District Pride," where children share the good and favorite aspects of their community from their perspective, is also a highlight.
We will also present heartwarming interviews that make even adults' hearts swell, as children talk about their exciting future dreams and express gratitude to their families who are always with them.

This time, we visited Sugo Elementary School located in Nishizaka, Kurashiki City.
The Charm of Sugo Elementary School was shared by the children right away.
About Sugo Elementary School
The presenters this time were Ruki Kanesaki, Ryo Takase, Haruka Mizoguchi, Mei Shimizu, and Shinichiro Shiota. The five of them presented with great energy.

First, let's hear about the school introduction.
Sugo Elementary School is located in the northeastern part of Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. They talk about the wonderful nature surrounding the school, including rich mountains, vast rice fields, and peach orchards that bear delicious peaches.
While surrounded by a rich natural environment, there is also a highway interchange nearby, making it very convenient for transportation.
In such a blessed environment, the children are enjoying their school life energetically and freely.
Children of Sugo Elementary School Talk About "School & School District Pride"
Next, the children introduced three things they are proud of about their school and school district.
1. "Lively Greetings" Delivered Proactively

The first pride is their lively greetings.
In the morning during school arrival and when passing by teachers and local people, they exchange greetings cheerfully. Furthermore, the children of Sugo Elementary School are said to proactively greet everyone.
In committee activities, they are also focusing on unique initiatives like the "Greeting Marathon" to promote more active greetings. Through greetings, the entire school is filled with energy, allowing everyone to spend their day with bright and happy feelings, a wonderful tradition unique to Sugo Elementary School.
2. Two Playgrounds Where You Can Move Your Body Freely

The second pride is the spacious "Lower Playground" located beyond the pedestrian bridge.
Sugo Elementary School has two playgrounds, allowing them to enjoy various games and sports according to the location.
With a variety of play options available, this environment where they can move their bodies freely surely supports the healthy growth of the children.
3. "Jack-kun," the School's Symbol Loved for Over 40 Years

The last pride they presented is Jack-kun, the peacock, which is also the symbol of Sugo Elementary School. Jack-kun has been watching over the children of Sugo Elementary School for over 40 years.
Jack-kun, who loves cabbage, shows off his beautiful feathers when he gets excited, making him everyone's idol. During the presentation, they even imitated Jack-kun's call, conveying how much he is loved.
Currently, Sugo Elementary School is conducting an initiative called "Nice Card," where they write down the good points of their friends. It seems they aim to collect Nice Cards together to create Jack-kun's large feathers, and the whole school is wrapped in a warm atmosphere.
"We want to make Jack-kun's beautiful feathers bloom with everyone's smiles and good points," they said with a smile.
Under the watch of Jack-kun, the children of Sugo Elementary School lead a vibrant and smiling school life. I thought it was wonderful that each of them can actively participate in their environment. Let's continue to watch over the children as they grow up healthy and strong.
Voices of Children Looking Toward the Future
After learning about the charm of the school, we also asked everyone about their future dreams.
Twelve children participated in the interview this time.
Thinking about their future dreams, such as illustrator, professional athlete, hairdresser, pianist, and scientist, is exciting.
The sight of children challenging themselves with "what they love" as their driving force gave great courage and inspiration to the adults as well.
Thank you, everyone at Sugo Elementary School.
Conclusion
In "Gather Around! Elementary School Students," we will continue to deliver the charm of schools and communities through the voices of children.
Every time we visit an elementary school, we feel that the children are growing day by day with the warm support of the teachers and local community.
