The forest concert “Hiruyo no Awai” is an outdoor concert being held at the Ojigadake Forest Stage on Friday, March 20, 2026.

The four artists performing were drawn to the openness of Ojigadake Hill, where you can feel the changing sea, sky, wind, and light with your whole body, and to its charm, which can soothe your heart just by gazing at the scenery.

At the venue, you can enjoy gentle, warm music that blends with the natural scenery and atmosphere, with an emphasis on acoustic sounds.

Interview with the performers

Ahead of the forest concert “Hiruyo no Awai,” we spoke with performer Kondo Yuima.

Could you tell us how the forest concert “Hiruyo no Awai” came about?

Ojigadake Hill has an openness that lets you feel the changing sea, sky, wind, and light with your whole body, and a charm that can soothe your heart just by gazing at the scenery.
The idea came from thinking that holding a concert in such a place could create a slightly special moment that still feels like an extension of everyday life.

Rather than putting on a big event to “show” people something, I wanted to create a time when people could connect gently in nature and each find their own rhythm again.

That is what led us to hold this event.

Was there a reason you chose the Ojigadake Forest Stage as the venue?

Ojigadake Hill is a special place where you can experience both the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea and the comfort of being surrounded by nature.
This place, where you can see the sea from the mountains, combines a sense of openness with tranquility, and I feel it has a wonderful atmosphere for listening to music.

Unlike a concert hall or live music venue, here the sound of the wind and birds, and even the changing light, become part of the performance that day.

I hope to share with everyone who comes the kind of concert experience that can only happen at Ojigadake Hill.

How would you like visitors to spend their time at the venue?

Kondo

Rather than trying hard to take something away from the experience, I hope you’ll relax and take in the atmosphere of the place. There will be time to listen closely to the music, but you can also look at the scenery, feel the wind, talk with someone dear to you, or simply let your mind wander.

It’s an open and welcoming time where each visitor can find a way to spend it that feels right for them.

I moved from the Kanto region to Kurashiki in December 2023. One of the reasons I moved was the peaceful, calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea viewed from Ojigadake Hill.
I thought that being able to visit this place whenever I wanted would surely enrich my life... Then, as various connections came together, I found myself entering my third year of life in Kurashiki.

I’ve always thought of Ojigadake Hill as a place where I can quietly connect with nature. I’m excited that this concert may show me a new side of Ojigadake Hill, especially since one of the performers, like me, moved from the Kanto region to Kurashiki in search of this scenery.
