The "5th Kurashiki City Rogaining in Chayamachi" is a walking event that combines sports and tourism, taking place on December 19, 2026 (Saturday) at Chayamachi Elementary School in Kurashiki City as the start and finish venue.

Rogaining (City Rogaining) is a new type of event where teams of 1 to 5 people visit checkpoints set up at tourist spots, cultural properties, and restaurants within the city within a time limit.

In the Chayamachi and Fujito areas, courses are available that can be enjoyed by beginners and families in a game-like manner, as well as more serious competitive courses.

Two Courses

There are two courses, both with a time limit of 4 hours.

Athlete Course
The further the checkpoint is from the venue, the higher the score. This course is for those with a competitive spirit.
Enjoy Course
The score for each checkpoint is unknown until reached. This course is for those who want to enjoy it in a game-like manner.

Date and Time Schedule

The event will be held on December 19, 2026 (Saturday) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the start and finish venue at Chayamachi Elementary School (445 Hayao, Chayamachi, Kurashiki City).

The schedule for the day is as follows:

9:00 AM - Registration begins
10:00 AM - Opening ceremony and rules explanation
10:15 AM - Map distribution and strategy time
10:30 AM - Start
2:30 PM - Finish
2:45 PM - Award ceremony and closing ceremony

Application Method

Applications will be accepted online (Moshicom). The application period is from September 1, 2026 (Tuesday) to November 30, 2026 (Monday).
