"Gather Around! Elementary School Students" is broadcast every Saturday from 8 AM to 9 AM on FM Kurashiki.

The personality, Asuka Abe, visits elementary schools in Kurashiki City to interview children who talk about the charm of their schools and school districts, as well as their big dreams. Through the genuine voices of the children, you can once again feel the charm of the community.

In the broadcast on August 29, 2026 (Saturday), we introduced the "Third Fukuda Elementary School" located in Hiroe, Kurashiki City.

FM Kurashiki "Gather Around! Elementary School Students"

In "Gather Around! Elementary School Students," we directly interview sixth graders at the visited elementary schools to deeply explore the charm of the schools everyone attends. Additionally, the "District Pride" segment introduces the good and favorite aspects of the community from the perspective of elementary school students.

We will also present heartwarming interviews that make even adults' hearts swell, as children talk about their exciting future dreams and express gratitude to their families who are always by their side.

This time, we visited Third Fukuda Elementary School located in Hiroe, Kurashiki City.

The Charm of Third Fukuda Elementary School was quickly shared by the children.

About Third Fukuda Elementary School

The first to introduce the school are 亀山賢人Kamiyama Kento and 小見山鷲Komiya Shu. The two presented together happily.

Third Fukuda Elementary School is a school where everyone can play together happily, regardless of gender.

The mascot character "Sanfuku Lion" is a familiar presence that supports the children with a smile. It is a character that combines the sun and a lion, created long ago to enhance greetings.

Additionally, the motto "Let's Try, Let's Persevere, Full of Kindness" is one of the charms of Third Fukuda Elementary School. They mentioned that they challenge new swimming techniques in the pool and spend time together across grades, all working hard together.

With Sanfuku Lion watching over them, they continue to challenge themselves with this motto.

Children of Third Fukuda Elementary School Talk About "School & District Pride"

Next, the children will introduce what they are proud of about their "school and district."

Three children presented the charms of Third Fukuda Elementary School and the district.

1. Enjoying the Four Seasons at Kamogatsujiyama and Viewing Fireflies at Sunagawa

三宅怜太朗Miyake Reitaro mentioned the abundance of nature as a point of pride for the district.

Around the school, there are the lush Kamogatsujiyama and the Sunagawa River, where one can feel the changing seasons even during their commute. Kamogatsujiyama is so full of greenery that it calms the heart when viewed closely, and in autumn, beautiful foliage spreads out.

In summer, the enchanting light of fireflies can be seen at Sunagawa, which is very soothing. Fourth graders engage with living creatures and participate in environmental studies during their exploration of Sunagawa, learning a lot from the nearby nature.

2. Energetic Greetings Exchanged Throughout the Community

Next, 遠藤蒼大Endo Sota introduced the energetic "greetings" exchanged throughout the community.

In the morning greeting activity planned by the management committee, each grade takes turns energetically greeting everyone. They are also consciously working to ensure that greetings are exchanged not only within the school but throughout the entire community. As symbolized by the "Sanfuku Lion" that appeared in the school introduction, it is clear that Third Fukuda Elementary School values greetings.

When the children greet pleasantly during their commute, the community members respond with smiles. This habit of exchanging warm voices is a point of pride not only for the school but for the entire district, as they shared.

3. School Life Surrounded by the Warmth of the Community

梶田澪Kajita Mio shared about the warmth of the community members.

They always watch over the children during their commutes, ensuring they can go to school safely every day. They kindly say "Welcome back" and are quick to lend a hand when in trouble. Additionally, there are volunteers who help protect the school's rich nature, and there are moments when they convey this sentiment to the children.

The environment where the entire community gently supports the children has become a significant point of pride for them.

The children of Third Fukuda Elementary School are enjoying their school life freely, surrounded by abundant nature and warm community members. I hope they continue to resonate their energetic greetings throughout the entire community.

Voices of Children Looking Toward the Future

After learning about the school's charms, we also asked everyone about their future dreams.

Ten children participated in the interview this time.
When thinking about everyone's future dreams, such as becoming a doctor, veterinarian, professional athlete, YouTuber, or working in the entertainment industry, it is exciting.

The sight of children challenging themselves with "what they love" as their driving force gives great courage and inspiration to adults as well.
