At Okayama Prefectural Kurashiki Technical High School located in Omatsucho, Kurashiki City, with the hope of ending the COVID-19 pandemic and sending encouragement to those who are currently working hard, the "Kurako Luminaire" has been held since the 2020 fiscal year (2020).
I believe the COVID-19 situation has calmed down, but it seems that it will also be held this fiscal year (2023), so I attended the lighting ceremony held on November 24, 2023.
What is the "Kurako Luminaire"?
The "2023 Kurako Luminaire" is being held from November 24 to December 24, 2023, in the garden at the main gate of Kurashiki Technical High School.
Since it uses natural light as its power source, the lighting time is not fixed and it automatically lights up after sunset.

I attended the lighting ceremony held on November 24, 2023 (Friday).
There were events such as a mini concert by the brass band and an exhibition of works by the calligraphy club, and finally, the illumination was lit up.

The illumination was created by students of the Electronic Mechanical Department at Kurashiki Technical High School as part of their project research.
Conclusion
Since it is a small illumination, its scale may be inferior compared to commercial illuminations.
However, this illumination was created by high school students for the local community, and anyone can enjoy it casually.
