At Funao Winery, which utilizes locally produced wine and the nature of Funao to hold attractive events each season, an event titled Hot Festival will be held in the New Year.
Following last year (2025), the Hot Festival will feature performances by Jumbo-tei Konan, a Okayama dialect rakugo performer, and Tochimochi, a juggler, who are active in Kurashiki.
In addition to various wines from Funao Winery, warm dishes will be provided from food trucks, and new products like bottle ice and aleki vinegar will also be available, promising a hot day of fun for both adults and children.

The "Funao Winery Hot Festival - Wine, Rakugo, and Street Performance Edition" will be held on January 25, 2026 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
After the Christmas and New Year season, when the cold is severe, there are fewer events compared to other seasons. It seems they decided to hold the "Funao Winery Hot Festival" again this year to provide an opportunity for families and friends to go out during such times.
The main contents are as follows.

Enjoyable rakugo in Okayama dialect and lively juggling indoors
This year (2026), the highlight will be the debut of rakugo and street performance at Funao Winery.
Jumbo-tei Konan (Okayama dialect rakugo performer) and Tochimochi (juggler) work as staff in Kurashiki City.
During the heavy rain in July 2018, the two performed at evacuation centers in Mabi. On the day of the event, they are scheduled to have three performances each (free admission).
Energetic "Kenkenpa" outside
Additionally, a "Kenkenpa" corner will be set up in the winery's garden.
Energetic children will likely enjoy themselves even in the cold. Adults might also want to reminisce and give it a try.
New products: bottle ice and aleki vinegar
At the "Funao Winery Hot Festival," two new products will debut.
The first is the second collaboration dessert "Muscat of Alexandria Bottle Ice" with Le Foyer, located in Arishiro, Kurashiki City.
With a beautiful contrast of green and white, it looks like a treasure box. It consists of layers of Muscat of Alexandria ice cream and sorbet, vanilla ice cream, and cookies.
When I tasted it, a gentle sweet aroma of Muscat wafted out as I opened the lid, and I enjoyed the flavors of the ice cream and sorbet, as well as the different textures.
Enjoying the differences in flavors or mixing them a little changes the taste, and this voluminous bottle ice seems to have the potential to be a hit.

The second is the Muscat of Alexandria Vinegar.
According to manager Jogo Tetsuya, "By using locally produced Muscat of Alexandria from Kurashiki City, which has a rich aroma and elegant sweetness, we have created a vinegar that is mild in acidity and easy to drink, with a fruity flavor."
I also tried this.
When I opened the bottle, in addition to the sweet aroma of Muscat, a soft acidity tickled my nose. It has a scent that makes you want to drink it right away, not the sharp smell of vinegar, so I diluted it with water to try it. The balance of acidity and sweetness was just right, making it seem delicious even for children.
I thought I would like to use it in cooking as well.

Okayama Prefecture, known as the "Land of Sunshine," often has maximum temperatures in the single digits during winter, making it a season when people want to spend the day indoors in warmth. We planned this event hoping to blow away the cold by moving our bodies even a little and to create enjoyable memories at Funao Winery during winter.
This second edition will feature performances by Okayama dialect rakugo performer Jumbo-tei Konan and juggler Tochimochi in a warm hall. Additionally, there will be many warm food options for sale, in line with the event's name.
I would be happy if everyone could enjoy delicious dishes along with hot wine.
I hear there will also be wonderful gifts on the day.
Munekai
On January 27, two days after the event, it will be "Funao Sweet Pea Day," derived from the wordplay of "i~Funao."
In connection with that day, the first 50 groups will receive a sweet pea for free with a purchase of 3,000 yen or more of in-store products. There will also be limited-time special products for sale during this period, and a "Kenkenpa Corner" outside where you can move your body and warm up.
