Enjoy a wide range of music genres from traditional Japanese to classical and pop
On the day of the event, performances will be provided by the following three groups featuring flute and saxophone:
- Fleur: Flute Trio
"Fleur," meaning "flower" in French, is a unit of students from Kurashiki Sakuyo University. This friendly trio will deliver a splendid performance. - Koto Voice: Koto and Vocal Performance
They formed the unit "Koto Voice" to convey songs that resonate with the seasons and life in Japan, using the traditional instrument koto. You can expect warm and soft tones. - Joie Quartet: Saxophone Quartet
"Joie" means "joy" in French. They cherish the joy of being able to perform and share enjoyable moments with the audience. It will be a rare opportunity to hear various saxophone sounds up close.
There will be instruments that are not often heard live, so it will be exciting.
Funao Winery's first low-alcohol wine to be newly released!
On the day of the festival, the first low-alcohol wine produced at Funao Winery will be available for sale.
With an alcohol content of 4%, it is said to be an extremely sweet wine that brings out the natural sweetness of Muscat Bailey A, making it suitable not only for those who are not good with alcohol but also for those who want to practice a sober-curious lifestyle.
Sober Curious
This refers to a lifestyle where people who can drink alcohol choose not to drink, or only enjoy it in small amounts, for positive reasons such as maintaining health or making effective use of time.
I spoke with the manager, Jogo Tetsuya, about the newly released low-alcohol wine.

We have received many requests from customers for non-alcoholic and low-alcohol wines, and this time we took on the challenge of developing a low-alcohol wine for the first time.
When people hear "low alcohol," they might think, "Isn't it going to taste weak?" or "It might be too much like juice and not satisfying..." Some may have a slightly negative image.
However, that is not the case.
With the remarkable evolution of manufacturing technology, we have been able to create a very high-quality low-alcohol wine that maintains the rich flavor and aroma of the grapes while keeping the alcohol content low.
The typical alcohol content of regular wine is about 12%, and many low-alcohol wines are between 8% and 10%. The product we developed achieves a low alcohol content of 4% while preserving the aroma and fruity taste of Muscat Bailey A.
It has a sweetness reminiscent of strawberry candy and a subtle acidity, making it a low-alcohol wine that can be enjoyed casually. This product is limited to 375 bottles, so we recommend purchasing it early.

Additionally, you will be able to see the facilities and machinery used in the actual brewing process on the day of the event. Between performances, the technical manager will operate the machinery while providing explanations. After the tour, tastings will also be available.

Funao Winery, located on a mountain, is surrounded by lush greenery and offers beautiful views, making it a great place to visit at any time. However, to allow everyone to enjoy the winery unique to the new wine season, we planned this event suitable for the autumn of arts.
Every year on November 3, it is the release date for the Muscat Bailey A and wines made from Koshu grapes that were brewed that year (although Funao Winery does not handle Koshu). We hope that you can enjoy the wines brewed this year, released on this day, along with wonderful music and delicious food.
This time, we have many vendors participating, offering delicious food and stylish wooden products for sale. Additionally, there will be a grand lottery with luxurious prizes and facility tours conducted by the brewing staff.
We hope that not only those who enjoy wine but also people of all ages will come and enjoy the event.
Conclusion
I also tried a little of the newly released low-alcohol wine.
I am very sensitive to alcohol and can hardly drink, but this wine had a soft mouthfeel, and I couldn't help but exclaim, "Delicious!" after taking a sip. It is not overly sweet like juice, and the gently wafting aroma and subtle alcohol sensation seem to pair well with any dish.
A few minutes later, I felt quite tipsy. Even though it is low alcohol, it is still alcohol, so driving is strictly prohibited.
I am already looking forward to the day of the event, where I can enjoy delicious food and live performances while feeling the autumn breeze in the winery's garden, which overlooks the town of Kurashiki.
When I visited to hear about it, the maple trees at the winery entrance had just begun to change color. By the day of the festival, they will surely welcome us with vibrant red hues.
