More than six months have passed since the heavy rain in July 2018.
Thanks to the ongoing volunteer activities supporting Mabi and the shops that are reopening one after another, Mabi is gradually regaining its vitality.
Therefore, on Saturday, May 18, 2019, we will hold a Mabi Town Photo Walk at the 'Take-no-ko Chaya' in Makibi Park!
Under the theme "Communicating the charm of Mabi Town through photography!", photographer Takumi Yano will teach the following two topics in a practical workshop.
- How to take beautiful photos focusing on landscapes
- Editing methods using smartphones that anyone can do
Let's enjoy communicating the charm of Mabi Town!
Additionally, on that day, with the cooperation of drone pilot Hiroki Tomiyasu, we will conduct aerial photography of Mabi Town.
We will create a video summarizing the current state of Mabi Town by combining the attractive photos taken by participants with the aerial footage from the drone.
Through the photo walk, we aim to create a single content that encapsulates the charm of Mabi Town and deliver the charm of Mabi Town to many people.
Writers, bloggers, models, photographers, and more... I hope that various people who love Mabi Town will gather to form a group to know and communicate the charm of Mabi Town, so please join us.
What is Kurashiki Tocotoco?
Kurashiki Tocotoco is a web media that provides information about tourist facilities and restaurants centered around the Bikan Historical Area, as well as the situation in Mabi Town.
With the concept of "Conveying the present of Kurashiki", we are disseminating the charm of Kurashiki centered around Okayama and Kurashiki through web writers and bloggers.

■ Takumi Yano (Photographer, Camera Operator, Head of salon de photo)
Active as a photographer and camera operator with the theme of "transparency". His main achievements in advertising, interviews, and promotional photography include JAL, Asahi Shimbun Digital, and Gento-sha GOETHE. He has previously held his own exhibitions "Magic and Reality" and "Blue and New York".
He is also focusing on dissemination activities, such as introducing how to beautifully finish photos taken with an iPhone X using the VSCO app on note, and has gained immense trust from many freelancers and companies.
