About a 15-minute drive from JR Kurashiki Station, there is a stylish café in a calm residential area.
It faces the street, making it easy for first-time customers to find.
The white modern building has large windows and many plants, making it stylish and exciting to see from the outside.
The view from the large windows changes depending on the time of day, and enjoying various atmospheres is one of the charms of this café.
Let me introduce 72cafe (Natsu Cafe), filled with style and deliciousness.
A stylish space filled with plenty of light
The interior of 72cafe is surrounded by houseplants and stylish furniture and decorations, making it sophisticated from any angle.
Light pours in through the large windows, brightening the mood.
It is a space where you can forget your daily life and enjoy food and conversation.
There are also customers relaxing on fluffy sofas.
When the sun sets, the atmosphere changes completely, making it feel like you are in a different café.

Upstairs, at the back of the second floor, there is a VIP Room that can also be used as a private room.
It can be reserved for special meals, girls' gatherings, weddings, seminars, and more, and is available to anyone who makes a reservation.

There is a kids' space and children's chairs, and the menu includes kids' plates, making it easy to visit with children.

Monthly changing 72 parfaits and specialty coffee
At 72cafe, there are two types of parfaits made with seasonal ingredients that change every month.
In March 2023, the parfaits were Red and Green Parfait with strawberry and matcha, and Red and Yellow Parfait with strawberry and banana.
Both looked vibrant and delicious, and I was torn between the two, but I ordered the red and green parfait.
There are S and L sizes, and the L size can be shared.
THE Red and Green - Strawberry and Matcha Parfait - S Size 1,090 yen (tax included)

This parfait is filled with strawberries, matcha ice cream, sweet red bean paste, and shiratama dumplings, making it visually stunning.
The slight bitterness of Uji matcha is perfect with the sweet red bean paste, and it balances well with the tartness of the strawberries.

At the bottom, there are crunchy chocolate cookies, adding to the texture.
I was satisfied both in my stomach and heart during the afternoon tea time.
French Press Coffee 72cafe Blend 520 yen (tax included)

This is a specialty coffee sourced from Hagiwara Coffee in Kobe.
Once the hourglass runs out, it is pressed and served.
You can really taste the flavor of the beans and the bitterness of the coffee, which is soothing and comforting.
I enjoyed it black at first, then added plenty of milk halfway through, allowing me to enjoy it in two ways.
If you order it with sweets, it will be 390 yen (tax included).
Opened in 2013, 72cafe is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year (2023).
I interviewed Ayaka Okada, a staff member at 72cafe.
