Even for such an author, a new style of treatment clinic opened in Hamanochaya, Kurashiki City on December 25, 2022, which is easy to visit.
It features a bright and open café space that can also be used by the general public, not just patients.
We covered “Jukosan Acupuncture and Osteopathy,” which is also used as a community space.
What is Jukosan Acupuncture and Osteopathy?
Jukosan Acupuncture and Osteopathy (hereafter, Jukosan) is located about 7 minutes by car from JR Kurashiki Station.
It is run by a couple with 35 years of treatment experience.
The director is acupuncturist Kinoshita Tomoko, and the vice director is judo therapist and acupuncturist Kinoshita Hiroshi.
Tomoko became interested in Eastern medicine and became an acupuncturist, possibly influenced by her father, who runs a judo therapy clinic.
Hiroshi also serves as the chief director of Jukou Osteopathy, which has four facilities in Kurashiki City and Soja City.
He has now entrusted Jukou Osteopathy to the younger generation and opened Jukosan.
The atmosphere of Jukosan, run by the two welcoming you with bright smiles, feels more like a “home” than a treatment clinic.

Above the counter seats, there is an open ceiling, making it very spacious.
There is no sense of pressure, creating a comfortable space.

The café offers drinks and morning meals.
The morning menu was created based on customer requests.
The serving time is from 9 AM to 11 AM, but they mentioned, “If there are requests, we might be able to serve it during the day as well.”
