Founded in 1966, Sakamoto Egg Co., Ltd. has been providing processed egg products such as rolled omelets as part of industrial meals for companies within the Mizushima Industrial Complex.
It is a long-established company that has supported Mizushima, one of Japan's leading industrial complexes, through eggs.

Having engaged in wholesale for many years, after opening a direct sales store in Biseicho, Ibara City in 2021, they have been holding the "HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE," where shops using Sakamoto eggs and parent chicken meat gather.

We will introduce the 25th market to be held in Mizushima on March 14, 2026 (Saturday).

What is MIZUSHIMA EGG MARCHE

MIZUSHIMA EGG MARCHE is a market organized by Sakamoto Egg Co., Ltd. that gathers delicious dishes, sweets, drinks, and miscellaneous goods made with eggs.

The first event was held in 2021 in Biseicho, Ibara City under the name "HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE," and since 2023, the same name has been used for events in Mizushima, where their factory is located.

From this 25th event onward, the name will be changed to "MIZUSHIMA EGG MARCHE" (hereinafter referred to as "Egg Marche"), but the content will remain the same as before.

We spoke with Sakamoto Akiyoshi, the president of Sakamoto Egg Co., Ltd., who is in charge of planning and managing the Egg Marche, about the highlights and recommended ways to enjoy the event.

The name of the Egg Marche has changed to "MIZUSHIMA EGG MARCHE" from this time, right?

That's right.
The name "HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE" that we used before was a name given through a public recruitment, and it contained our wish to raise awareness of our product "Hoshinosato Tamago."

As the Egg Marche reaches its 25th event, we have been increasingly asked by local people, "When is the next Egg Marche?" and I have come to feel that "when it comes to Egg Marche, it is Sakamoto Egg" is being recognized by the community.

This will be the 6th time holding it in Mizushima, and as we have seen an increase in vendors unique to Mizushima, we decided to change the name for the Egg Marche in Biseicho to "HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE" and for the one in Mizushima to "MIZUSHIMA EGG MARCHE."

Please tell us about Sakamoto Egg's highlight products.

2026 marks the 60th anniversary of Sakamoto Egg's founding.
Over the course of the year, we are creating original goods in collaboration with companies in Kurashiki City.

At this Egg Marche, we will be selling original masking tape and original ballpoint pens created in collaboration with KURABUN.

They have turned out wonderfully, so I hope you will purchase them.

Additionally, we will have plenty of the "Kuntama Sandwich," which is sold exclusively at the Egg Marche, so please give it a try.

Do you have any recommended ways to enjoy the event?

In addition to hearty food, there are also drinks and desserts, so I hope you will enjoy the entire event venue while walking around and eating.

There will also be miscellaneous goods and picture books featuring eggs, chicks, and chickens as motifs. Although we couldn't include it in the flyer in time, a children's cafeteria group will also be participating, making it an event that children can enjoy.
