Autumn is a season filled with many events.
In Kurashiki City, markets, events, and festivals are held almost every week.
On November 15, 2025 (Saturday), the Sakamoto Egg Co., Ltd., which has its headquarters and processing plant in Mizushima, Kurashiki City, hosted the HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE in Mizushima (hereinafter referred to as "Egg Marche").
The Egg Marche is a popular event that attracts many customers each time.
I also went out to see it, so I will report on the situation.
What is "HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE in Mizushima"?
Sakamoto Egg Co., Ltd., located in Mizushima, Kurashiki City, is a store that consistently handles everything from egg production to processing and sales.
With the desire for people to enjoy truly delicious eggs more closely and more joyfully, they continue to expand the charm and possibilities of eggs in the community.
This Egg Marche, held for the fifth time, features products made with eggs or related to eggs and chickens from all stores.
There were shops selling meals, bread, sweets, and processed products using eggs and chickens, as well as shops offering drinks and handmade miscellaneous goods.
The situation of HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE in Mizushima
It was a clear day.
Although it was held in mid-November, it felt a bit hot in the sun, making it a perfect day for the marche.
By the start time at 10 AM, many customers had already arrived.
Sakamoto Egg
At the booth of Sakamoto Egg, the organizer of the marche, the very popular egg sandwiches were lined up.
In addition, newly released ingredients for oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) and a marche-exclusive 1.5 kg bulk sale of eggs were also available, and customers kept coming without interruption.
Some customers even had to pack their purchases in cardboard boxes because they couldn't fit everything in bags.
Shops using Sakamoto Egg's eggs
Many shops using Sakamoto Egg's eggs were present.
BECK
As I walked through the marche, I noticed a bakery called "BECK" that caught my eye.
They came from Okayama City, where their store is located.
Each piece of bread was quite large, and perhaps because of that size, there was a somewhat exotic feel to it.
The bread was made by a French craftsman who is particular about wheat production.
Shimaya Seika Eido
Shimaya Seika Eido is a Japanese confectionery store located in Mizushima.
They had several types of castella made with eggs, as well as various types of Japanese sweets.
On that day, it was hot, so ice cream was the best-selling item, even more than the main Japanese sweets.
natural sweets KAO
On this day, natural sweets KAO had a booth from Okayama City where their store is located.
They had a variety of products, including mildly sweet baked goods and muffins.
I purchased a meal muffin filled with homemade keema curry and plenty of cheese.
On top of the muffin, there was an egg from Sakamoto Egg.
Following the recommended way to eat it, as told by the shop staff, I warmed it in the microwave and then toasted it a bit in the toaster.
The outside was crispy, while the inside was fluffy, and it was delicious.
Fukuyama Factory Manager Marche
Fukuyama Factory Manager Marche was selling "calzone," a type of baked pizza.
The vegetables inside were said to be using those that did not meet standards.
Restaurant Hoshinosato
Drawn by the enticing aroma, I headed to the booth of the burger shop "Restaurant Hoshinosato."
They came from Bisei-cho, where Sakamoto Egg's own poultry farm is located.
It was lunchtime, and since I was hungry, I decided to buy something. The Misaki Burger was tall and satisfying.
Furia Kitchen
This is a bakery located in Tsurajima.
They have a variety of filled bread packed with ingredients, as well as a wide range of various breads.
Additionally, they also had kimbap bento, a Korean-style seaweed roll.
Watermill Village Fruitopia
"Watermill Village Fruitopia" was selling sweets made with autumn ingredients such as chestnuts, sweet potatoes, and Shine Muscat grapes.
On this day, they were said to have come from Yakage Town.
Everything looked delicious, and I was torn, but I decided to try the Shine Muscat Parfait, which is their most popular item.
The cake sponge made with Sakamoto chicken eggs is used in between the cream.
The sweetness of the Shine Muscat and the mildly sweet fresh cream paired perfectly, and I ate it all without getting tired of it.
Drinks
Perhaps because it was hot that day, there seemed to be many people buying drinks.
Tabishounin Chaya
At the food truck Tabishounin Chaya, they were selling coffee and matcha drinks.
Miscellaneous Goods
There were booths selling not only food and drinks but also miscellaneous goods.

"25★25" was selling handmade goods.
They had felt play food dolls made from patterns and resin accessories.
From a distance, they were so precise that they could be mistaken for real bento.
Mizushima Rinkai Railway Co., Ltd.
Mizushima Rinkai Railway Co., Ltd. was offering standard items such as multi-pouches and T-shirts featuring Mizushima Rinkai Railway goods, as well as limited edition metal keychains celebrating their 55th anniversary.
Conclusion
This was the fifth time for the "HOSHINOSATO EGG MARCHE in Mizushima" to be held.
Despite previous events being visited by many customers even in rainy weather, this time we were blessed with clear skies for the first time.
The temperature was also high for November, and it seemed that visitors were leisurely enjoying the marche.
As for me, I thought it would get cold, so I wore very warm clothes, and while taking photos in the sun, I ended up sweating a lot...
I ended up buying several cold drinks filled with ice.
Choosing what to wear in this season is really difficult.
At the venue, there were many tables and chairs set up under a large tent, providing a space where anyone could sit and eat comfortably.
The desire of President Sakamoto of Sakamoto Chicken Eggs, who said, "I hope everyone can have a relaxing and enjoyable day through the egg marche", was conveyed through the atmosphere of the entire venue.
The egg marche, hosted by the locally rooted egg shop Sakamoto Chicken Eggs, allows you to feel the deliciousness and connections between people.
