From Framer to Paper Goods Store
Straight through the shopping street from JR Kurashiki Station, past Achi Shrine, and further ahead, Nyochikudo is located at the very back of the townscape of the Bikan Historical Area.
Various paper balloons are decorated on the ceiling, and various designs of masking tape are lined up inside the store.

In 2009, when KAMOI KAKOSHI CO., LTD.'s masking tape "mt" began to gain popularity, it transitioned to a paper goods store.

Free Masking Tape Experience
At Nyochikudo, there is a free experience to decorate items such as badges, fans, and tote bags using masking tape.
The reception hours for the free masking tape experience corner are from 10 AM to 5 PM.
You decide the number of participants and the materials you like, and register at the cash register. (Phone reservations are not accepted)
You can participate in the experience once a day.
On weekdays, you can decorate paper bags and fans, while on weekends and holidays, you can decorate badges, hand-held cardboard boxes, and masking tape collection boxes with masking tape.
I participated in the free badge-making experience from this selection.
Since many customers wish to participate in the free experience, there is a 10-minute time limit.

You freely stick masking tape onto a round thick paper.
The excess ends of the tape are neatly cut along the base paper.
If you fold the ends of the masking tape or layer multiple pieces, the badge press may not work well.
I chose and stuck a masking tape with a cat design.
It was quite difficult to fit it nicely on the round base paper.
The completed base paper with masking tape is placed on a round metal plate for the badge, a plastic film is placed on top, and it is pressed with a badge press machine.
