When raising children, don’t you sometimes think, “I want to go to a stylish café, not a family restaurant or chain store”?
Is there a café where I can comfortably go with my children?
It would be great if there were menus that children could eat as well.
A café that fulfills such wishes is Cafe Dining Ospitare, located in Nakasho, Kurashiki City.
Ospitare means "hospitality" in Italian.
With a casual atmosphere, you can enjoy a relaxing time.
The signature menu is omelette rice with plenty of demi-glace sauce and soft eggs!
The stylish interior and reasonably priced delicious menu are also recommended for couples and groups wanting to enjoy drinks.
Everyone is welcome, and we will introduce Ospitare, which has recently started takeout.
Cafe Dining Ospitare in Nakasho, Kurashiki City

Cafe Dining Ospitare is located in Nakasho, Kurashiki City, just off National Route 162.
Since its opening in 2013, it has been a popular café mainly among locals.
Nearby is the factory of Kajitani Foods, which operates café BISCUIT.

Since May 2020, takeout has started.
You can take home menu items such as omelette rice, sweets, and drinks.

The parking lot has 11 spaces. Since parking is limited, please be careful when parking.
A stylish and spacious interior. Safe for families with children

Upon entering the café, you are welcomed by the bar counter and the symbol mark of Ospitare.
The symbol mark is said to be a design combining the "O" and "P" of Ospitare.

The interior is spacious.
With large windows, plenty of sunlight comes in, making you feel like you are in a tropical resort.

The sofa seats by the window are also easy for groups with children to use.

The bench seat can accommodate up to 6 people. With a large tent, it has a resort-like atmosphere.

The tables are spaced widely apart, allowing strollers to enter easily.
There are also 2 child seats available, making it a family-friendly café.
A rich menu at Ospitare that can be enjoyed both day and night.

A great value lunch set that includes a main dish, salad, soup, and drink.
While the signature menu is omelette rice, there are many options such as pasta, gratin, and curry, which is delightful.

The omelette rice, which they particularly focus on, comes in 9 varieties, including demi-glace sauce, tomato sauce, and white sauce.

You can add cheese baked for an additional 200 yen to any omelette rice.
As someone who loves cheese, I definitely want to try it at least once.

The pasta menu includes classic dishes like peperoncino and carbonara, as well as nostalgic napolitan.
All of them look hearty and delicious.

The pasta menu is rich with 11 varieties. You will want to share different flavors of pasta.

I personally appreciate the gratin menu. It’s not often found on restaurant menus.
By the way, gratin is a Western dish that originated in Japan.
It’s a uniquely Japanese idea to pour white sauce over rice.

There are 7 types of pizza. The crispy crust is perfect for snacks.

The curry menu includes items like pork cutlet and fried chicken, offering a satisfying portion for men.
It’s recommended for those who want to eat heartily.

The a la carte menu, including salads, is also substantial.
Dessert and drink menu. The recommendation is the smoothie

Dessert menu. The impact of the Danish is amazing!
The beauty of the photo makes you think that you could share it after lunch, or rather, you definitely can!

For those who say, "Danish is a bit much, I'm on a diet..." this menu will surely sway your heart when you see it!
The chocolate cake is homemade, and the verrine is a refreshing parfait with yogurt sauce.

The drink menu is also very diverse. Non-alcoholic drinks can be made with your preferred combinations.

Of course, there is also a café menu. There are plenty of espresso flavors.

At the time of the interview (May 2020), Ospitale's recommendation was the Smoothie.
It's great that you can easily drink a smoothie, which is known to be good for your body, even though making it can be quite a hassle.
Slow-cooked Demi Omurice Lunch Set

On the day of the interview, I had the lunch set.
First, a salad and consommé soup were served in a white bowl.

Soon after, the omurice topped with plenty of demi-glace sauce was served.
The hot steam and the rich aroma of the demi-glace sauce are irresistible.

The Demi Omurice Lunch Set is ready.
With salad, soup, a large plate of omurice, and a drink, it costs 1,080 yen (tax included).

Look at this collaboration of creamy eggs and demi sauce!
The eggs are fluffy and creamy, and the rich, deep flavor of the demi-glace sauce... it's a dish that makes you feel happy.

Inside the eggs, there is plenty of chicken rice.
Chicken rice is great, as I would be disappointed if it were plain butter rice.
The rice has a light and gentle flavor, and it pairs perfectly with the demi-glace sauce.

The smooth demi-glace sauce blends perfectly with the omurice, making it easy to eat.
It has a rich flavor yet a light aftertaste, allowing you to enjoy it until the last bite.
Salmon and Asparagus Cream Sauce Pasta Set

This is the Salmon and Asparagus Cream Sauce Pasta.
It comes with a drink for 1,080 yen.

The white plate with the pink cream sauce and the green asparagus looks great.
The colors are beautiful and the pasta is appetizing.

I always think that the key to pasta is heat, and Ospitale's pasta is really hot!
The saltiness of the white sauce with the salmon is just right, and the pasta has a nice chewy texture.
Café-style Okayama Specialty Demi Katsu Don Lunch Set

This is the Demi Katsu Don Lunch Set.
Demi Katsu Don is a unique Okayama dish where tonkatsu is topped with demi-glace sauce.

On top of the katsu, plenty of demi-glace sauce, the same as on the omurice, is poured.
The slightly sweet demi sauce pairs well with the katsu.

From directly above, it looks quite impressive!
With white rice, vegetables, and freshly fried katsu, all coated in sauce, it's a satisfying bowl.
A Chocolate Danish You Want to Share!

After the meal, I ordered an additional " Chocolate Danish " with my drink.
The menu looked so delicious that I couldn't help but be curious, and the impact of it was incredible!!
There is a lot of ice cream, chocolate, and decorations (surprising).

The thickness of the Danish bread is also amazing.
Half a loaf of bread, which means, can I say it’s equivalent to two slices of 4-slice bread?
I’m feeling a bit excited about it.

The outer layer is crispy, and the inside is moist Danish bread, with cold ice cream, chocolate syrup, banana chips, berries, and whipped cream.
I don't care about the calories! It's an incredibly delicious and fun dessert.
Ospitare's Takeout Menu

Since May 2020, Ospitare has started takeout.
You can enjoy the delicious omelets and desserts from the restaurant at home.

The menu available at the café is mainly included, but the "Makanaitori Rice" for 800 yen (tax included) is a takeout-only menu.

There are also portable parfaits for dessert!
It seems that the contents are the same as the parfait served in the store.

You can also take out smoothies and tapioca drinks, and of course, the café's drink menu is available for takeout.

I took out a berry smoothie. The sweet and sour aroma of the berries is very fresh!
It's a refreshing smoothie with a yogurt flavor, and the cold texture is pleasant.
Now, I interviewed Akira Okada, the manager of Ospitare, about the motivation to start the café and the efforts for takeout.
