In the midst of busy days, have you ever felt like you just want to drink coffee without thinking about anything?
A place that fulfills such feelings has opened in Soja City.
It is a traditional farmhouse café called DAY BY DAY COFFEE, where you can spend a relaxing time while gazing at the rural landscape.
We interviewed the owner about his thoughts and dedication to creating the café.
A traditional farmhouse café where you can feel the warmth of people and nature
DAY BY DAY COFFEE is a café that the owner, Taniguchi Kenta, renovated and remodeled himself from a vacant traditional farmhouse.

The sign installed at the entrance has a simple yet eye-catching design that conveys a sense of care. It makes you feel excited even before entering the café.
Inside, there is a warmth and openness unique to handmade spaces, creating a calm environment where you can relax.

There are four sofa seats for 2 to 3 people to relax in, and one table seat that can accommodate up to six people.

There is one terrace seat for four people in the garden.
Seats with a view of the rural landscape
You can feel Taniguchi's unique dedication in the layout of the seats.
The sofa seats are all arranged to face outside, allowing you to relax while gazing at the rural landscape from any seat.

The sofa seat next to the entrance offers a special view of the rural landscape through the bay window.

The moment you sit down, a gentle time flows that makes you want to take a deep breath naturally.
Hearty egg benedict and comforting sweets with a backstory
Here are some highlights from the menu at DAY BY DAY COFFEE.
The signature egg benedict
The signature menu item is the egg benedict. On weekdays, you can choose from four varieties.

- Sausage & Bacon
- Prosciutto & Avocado
- Garlic Shrimp
- Mexican Tacos
On weekends, special menu items also appear.

In the past, there have been items like "Egg Benedict with three kinds of mushrooms and seafood" and "Roast Beef Benedict."
From autumn to winter 2025, they are planning to create a benedict using duck and smoked salmon. We are looking forward to the appearance of seasonal menu items.
During the interview, I had the classic sausage & bacon egg benedict.

Crispy bacon and juicy, hearty sausage combined with a melting soft-boiled egg created a deliciousness that made me smile.
Sweets filled with family love
The sweets include "Today's two kinds of sweets" and "Pudding loved by my wife."

Today's two kinds of sweets include a chiffon cake baked using a recipe learned from his mother and a pound cake.

The "Pudding loved by my wife" is named after the fact that his wife loved it and found it delicious.
Each sweet contains the owner's kindness and thoughts for his family, and hearing about them warmed my heart.
There are also special weekend menu items for sweets.
One sweet that caught my attention among those previously sold is the espresso pudding. I keep checking social media to see if it will make a comeback.
I spoke with Taniguchi, who has a passionate dedication that is unexpected from the calm atmosphere, about his commitment and goals for the café.
