Since drinking tea at "Tea Room aura" in Kurashiki, I now have a new option to go out for tea, even though I had only been drinking coffee.
Tea Room aura is a shop where you can enjoy carefully brewed tea by the cup and fluffy chiffon cake. The fruit parfait, which you want to eat regardless of the season, is also very popular. You can spend a relaxing time in a calm space.

About Tea Room aura
"Tea Room aura" is a tea shop that opened in 2022 in a residential area of Hiroe, Kurashiki City.
In a machine-cut log house (a log house built with uniformly processed logs) with a garden, it feels like you have wandered into a fairy tale world.
This shop was started by a couple after retirement, and all the ingredients used are carefully selected. You can enjoy tea brewed carefully by the owner, chiffon cake made with quality ingredients, and sweets like fruit parfaits.
The terrace seats are also dog-friendly, making it a great place to relax with your beloved pet.

Seasonal Limited! Peach Fruit Tea
The "Fruit Tea" changes with the seasons.
In August 2025, when I visited, peaches were in season, so I had the Peach Fruit Tea.
What surprised me first when I tried it was the sweetness of the peach. It was so sweet that it felt like it was drizzled with syrup, and there was a whole peach inside. There were also chunks of fruit at the bottom of the glass, making it fun to scoop and eat with a spoon.
The aroma of the tea and the sweetness of the peach blend together, allowing you to enjoy both flavors luxuriously at once.
Recommended by the owner! Cream Tea Set
The Cream Tea Set includes two types of chiffon cake and one scone, along with a daily tea set.
On this day, the chiffon cakes were plain and pineapple, the scone was chocolate chip, and the tea was a generous two cups of Uva tea.
The chiffon cake is fluffy yet has a moist texture. It is said to be made without baking powder or preservatives and uses homemade soy milk.
It is finished with a gentle taste and moderate sweetness.
The scone is also crispy and fluffy, and when eaten with homemade jam and clotted cream, its deliciousness is further enhanced.
Some may have the impression that scones are "dry," but after trying this scone, that impression will surely change.
Additionally, the chiffon cake and scone are also available for takeout, making them great for gifts.
Popular Menu! aura Parfait
The "aura Parfait," which is very popular regardless of the season, is available only on weekends in a limited quantity of 10.
It uses plenty of seasonal fruits, and the contents change with the seasons, including strawberries, grapes, peaches, and blueberries. During my visit, it was a blueberry and orange parfait.
The fruits are very sweet, and they pair perfectly with the lightly sweet cream and tea jelly. Additionally, finely cut chiffon cake is on top, making it a luxurious dish.
There is also a mini size parfait, but even the regular size is light enough to finish easily.
The fruit parfait is very popular and may sell out by noon, so visiting in the morning is recommended.
