“BAR Kurashiki capri” opened in January 2018, run by the owner who had been operating a coffee shop since 2007 in Okayama City and a dining bar since 2013.
It has an excellent location right across from the bicycle parking lot of Mizushima Rinkai Railway Kurashiki Station!
With the theme of “relaxation,” this bar is filled with the owner’s desire to provide a space that is different from the ordinary. Why not enjoy a moment of calm here?
Three unique spaces themed around “relaxation”
As soon as you enter “BAR Kurashiki capri,” the counter seats catch your eye.
You can chat with the friendly owner, making it a space that is easy to drop by alone and stay for a while to talk.
There are also power outlets right below the counter seats, so you can charge your mobile phone or smartphone, and free Wi-Fi is available.
To the immediate left after entering, there are four two-person table seats.
Under slightly dim lighting, these seats are recommended for friends or dates.
Finally, let me introduce the loft on the second floor!
Please be careful as you climb the stairs between the counter seats and table seats.
Since the second floor is strictly no shoes, please take off your shoes before going up.
Slippers are also provided.
The loft space on the second floor features sofa seats where you can relax without shoes.
It is said that some customers enjoy the comfort so much that they find it hard to come down after having a drink.

The owner’s carefully selected menu
Here are some highlights from the drink menu.
The drinks include beer, highballs, cocktails, and more.
Non-alcoholic cocktails and hot coffee are served in a pot.
The food menu includes snacks like nuts and edamame, as well as baguettes, grilled rice balls, and bacon steak.
There is also a variety of food options including pizza and ajillo.
A rich food menu from coffee to alcohol
First, we have the original drink named after the bar, “Capri Blue.”
This drink, based on lychee liqueur, is easy to drink with a sweet flavor from the soda and Calpis, and its beautiful contrast of blue and light blue makes it visually stunning.
A popular drink at the time of the August 2019 interview was the “Okayama Prefecture White Peach Highball.”
This highball has a hint of peach sweetness and is easy to drink.
The sautéed “Quattro Sausages.”
These are four types of sausages: smoked, white, basil, and chorizo.
When you bite into the hot sausages served on a hot plate, the meat's umami and oil spread across your tongue, making you want to drink more.
“Mentaiko Baguette” (4 pieces).
The crispy toasted baguette is perfectly complemented by the salty flavor of the mentaiko.
The “Plentiful Prosciutto Pizza” features a crispy thin pizza crust topped generously with prosciutto!
The simple seasoning with olive oil enhances the saltiness of the prosciutto, making it a flavorful dish.
“Homemade Rare Chocolate” is available for takeout.
This raw chocolate is said to have been supervised by the Western confectionery shop “Patisserie Pommes Vert” in Kurashiki.
The chocolate has a slight sweetness that pairs well with the bitter powder, making it a perfect dessert after a meal.
The coffee, which the owner brews carefully using a hand drip method, is something you definitely want to try.
There are even people who visit just for this coffee without drinking alcohol.
With a refreshing taste that you can enjoy as many cups as you like, it is served in a pot, allowing you to enjoy about 2.5 cups.
This BAR, where you can enjoy desserts and coffee, might just make you want to relax.
